A Message from Fr. Ramon
My heart is overflowing with joy, humility, and gratitude following the celebration of my 40th ordination anniversary on October 19th. True joy comes from an inner awareness of God’s loving presence in all things—from the quiet peace of prayer to the warmth of community. I experienced this joy deeply when I first walked through the doors of our beloved parish, St. John the Baptist, two years ago. I was welcomed with smiles, kindness, and a genuine spirit of faith. It felt immediately like coming home. For that, I say THANK YOU—dear parishioners and friends of St. John’s!
Thank you for your prayers, greeting cards, and thoughtful gifts. I have placed them on display in the pastor’s office, and I warmly invite you to stop by for a cup of coffee or tea and a spiritual conversation at a convenient time. Among your gifts was a beautiful crystal plaque, a papal blessing commemorating this milestone in my priesthood, and heartfelt messages of gratitude for years of service in the Lord’s vineyard. I was touched as well by a ceramic depiction of the Eucharistic miracle of Lanciano in Italy, bearing the sacred words: “This is my body…this is my blood.” Your generous monetary gifts will be used to support my personal charitable efforts, especially helping relatives and friends in the Philippines with educational needs and emergency assistance.
Please know that I offer my prayers and blessings for your intentions—for good health and healing, for peace and reconciliation in your families, and for the eternal rest of your departed loved ones. May our Eucharistic celebrations continue to draw us closer to God, filling our hearts with reverence for His living Word and the immeasurable gift of receiving the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ—our source of true peace and everlasting joy.
“I thank my God every time I remember you… because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now.” (Philippians 1:3,5)
With deep gratitude and pastoral love,
Fr. Ramon
