Gardening

Enter the quiet grace of our gardens.

Experience the beauty of God’s creation across our campus. Stroll through over sixteen acres of meticulously maintained gardens, a perfect setting to pray, reflect, study, or enjoy peaceful exercise.

Pause and place your trust in Jesus before the beautifully tiled Divine Mercy image, set in marble. Stone benches invite you to linger in prayer and meditate on the Lord’s sorrowful Passion while praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. For those who cannot walk the garden, the sacred scene is also easily visible from your car.”

At the quiet edge of our campus rests Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, gently poised above a cascading waterfall. Her presence blesses the space with serenity, inviting all who come to pause in prayerful contemplation. Whether seated on a bench or within the stillness of your car, you are welcome to draw near. Just beyond the grotto lies our Rosary Garden, where each rose-shaped stone marks a step in prayer, guiding your heart along the mysteries of the Rosary.

Tucked behind the church on the southeast side, the St. Francis Garden is one of our newest havens of prayer and peace. Here you are invited to echo the saint’s timeless prayer – asking Jesus to make you an instrument of his peace. With gentle beauty all around and sheltered space to rest, read, or quietly refresh, the garden offers a sacred pause for both soul and body.

Gracing the southern side of our church, the Memorial Garden blossoms as a sanctuary of remembrance and prayer. Among roses and stones, lovingly placed hearts are lifted to God – honoring cherished loved ones and celebrating the lessons of life’s precious moments.

Along the back of the campus lies the Walk with the Lord Prayer Garden, a peaceful path shaded by trees. As you stroll the winding sidewalk, you are invited to pray the Stations of the Cross, beautifully displayed within the rustic setting, or simply walk and converse with the Lord. Many parishioners also cherish this space for gentle exercise – walking, jogging, or running – while others pause to rest on the benches and soak in the stillness.

Ways to Help

Gardening nourishes both the earth and the soul! With so many gardens to tend, helping hands are always welcome. Whether you enjoy weeding, watering, fertilizing, or trimming, we invite you to share your gardening skills as a volunteer.

Donations of plants are also a blessing – please bring them to the parish office.

Like to work alone? You may choose to “adopt an island” in the parking lot or courtyard by the classrooms, caring for it as your own act of stewardship.
