Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a solemn 40-day period of prayer, fasting, and repentance before Easter, symbolizing mortality, penance, and grief for sins through the imposition of ashes in the shape of a cross on the forehead, with phrases “Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return” or “Repent and believe in the Gospel”. The ashes, made from burned palms from the previous Palm Sunday, signify our humble, transient nature and need for conversion, reminding us to turn toward God and the Gospel, even as we begin a journey of spiritual discipline.
